DIY SOS - CHARITY DOCKSIDE CUPBOARD DISASTER Can you help a local charity in Kingston? The River Thames Boat Project needs to desperately organise its storage space at the Barge Dock in Kingston near Canbury Gardens.

This is really important to the charity and its operations, as it is expecting the delivery of a brand new boat, the Thames Discoverer in May 2017.

With 70 dedicated volunteers it is imperative that they can find things quickly and store them safely. The space is approximately 4m wide x 10m deep x 14m high.

Ideally, help is needed from the 9th January – February. This small project would suit a local builders firm, who would like to make a difference to a local charity by donating the necessary materials and manpower to fit out the space with shelves and hooks.

The River Thames Boat Project, was established in 1989 and provides therapeutic cruises to people with disabilities, disadvantaged young people and school children by providing trips and educational activities on the river on a converted wheelchair friendly Dutch barge and is largely served by volunteers.
