Our mother’s ashes were stolen from our home between 3.30pm and 6.30pm Saturday 10th December 2016.
Someone entered through our back door after somehow gaining access to our garden. We believe the urn, which is sealed, must have been mistaken for an item of monetary value, a jewellery box or a safe by someone unable to read the plaque.
The urn may have been damaged, broken open or discarded when the thief realised it was of no value. The plaque may have been removed.
The ashes are contained within, in a clear plastic bag sealed with a cable tie, which may have been separated from the urn.
This is horrific and devastating for us. Please keep an eye out in gardens, allotments, hedges, bins, skips, verges etc. If you find an urn similar to the one pictured or a clear bag containing the ashes or anything that could have been part of the urn or have any information about the theft, please contact us on 07708427243 or the police on 101 or email: SamCharlieJo@gmail.com
The urn is similar in size to a large shoe box and along with the ashes they are obviously irreplaceable. We would be grateful for them to be returned.
