SITEL UK who employ more than 6000 people from differing backgrounds and cultures in its 8 nationwide sites, held a fundraising event at its Kingston site in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance.

November 20th marked Transgender Day of Remembrance, and thousands of people come together around the world to mourn the lives of those in the transgender community as a result of their gender identity.

As part of the Neverland themed event agents dressed up and rather than usually providing customer service and resolving queries via services such as web-chat, cooked something that could be sold during lunch to raise funds.

The event raised £165 which will be donated to the Gendered Intelligence charity.

Joanne Regan-Iles, director of human resources for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Sitel, said: “This event is an important part of our calendar to celebrate diversity.

Sitel embrace and celebrate all dimensions of diversity within each individual. All are vital to the Sitel success story and we are keen to offer everyone the chance to add skills and, for some, the chance to build careers in customer care.”
