A man was arrested for possession of drugs inside a barber shop last week following alleged sightings of a man with a gun.
Police were called to Starskys Barber Hut, Eswyn Road, Tooting, at 2pm on May 28 on suspicion there was a gun in the shop.
A search was carried out and no weapon was found, but a man was arrested for drug possession.
A barber shop worker said: "They came in looking for a gun. There were lots of cops here searching down the streets."
Neighbours in Eswyn Road said they felt scared after police came to make enquiries at their houses.
A man living nearby said: "They said they were looking for a gun in the shop, they suspected a gun. It is scary."
