Bells will peal for three hours on Sunday before a special thanksgiving service to celebrate the borough's 75th anniversary.
The service will be held at St Martin of Tours Church, in Church Street, Epsom, at 6.30pm, by Reverend Simon Talbott, and will be attended by the Bishop of Dorking, the Right Revered Ian Brackley.
It will include the first use of a new prayer specially written for the borough’s anniversary.
Before the service, a full peal of bells will be attempted to commemorate Epsom and Ewell's milestone. Starting at 3pm, the peal will last nearly three hours and will comprise the ‘method’ Grandsire Caters.
Other faiths will also be celebrating the milestone at their own religious services over the next few days.
