A Kingston dog is among the front runners to become the face of consumer magazine campaign that snaps at the heels of bankers.
Boxer Jackson is among five pooches shortlisted for Which? magazine’s "Watchdog not Lapdog" campaign.
The five year-old, who beat out competition from over 200 hopefuls, was entered for the competition by owner Liz Cox.
She said: "Jackson is always on the ball and is good at sniffing out situations.
"He is very inquisitive and likes to paw over things. He can be vocal in putting his point of view across and is always supportive of the underdog"
The consumer champion wants new banking regulator the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to look after consumers and not pander to the banks.
Which? head of campaigns Louise Hanson said: "People have told us they want a regulator that stands up to the industry and fights on behalf of the consumer, and that’s what we’re campaigning for.
"We want to see the new regulator put consumer protection at the heart of everything it does."
To pledge your support for Jackson visits www.which.co.uk/watchdog before voting closes on Friday, February 24.
