A former television broadcasting studio in New Malden may be developed into homes after plans are showcased this week.

Residents are being invited to view the latest proposals for a residential development on the site of Brycbox House, which is owned by Barratt Homes.

Other parts of the site, including the Blagdon Road multi-storey car park and the Causeway and Crescent Resource Centre, which are not owned by Barratt Homes, will not be affected.

Alastair Baird, Regional Managing Director of Barratt Homes London, said: “We are aware that there are concerns from local residents regarding the future of the neighbouring Resource Centre, which is not owned by Barratt Homes.

“I can assure them that our proposals for Brycbox House will not impact upon any future use that the Council and the community determine for the Resource Centre site.

I hope residents will take the time to visit the exhibition and give us their feedback on the proposed plans.”

The public exhibition will be held on Friday May 20, from 3.30pm to 8pm and on Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 4pm at the New Malden Methodist Church on the High Street.
