A teenager has admitted burgling a convicted brothel keeper’s house while he was behind bars.

Michael Dalton’s house in Kingston Road, Leatherhead, was burgled on Monday, January 17, while he was in prison serving a three-year sentence for making an estimated £1m over six years running four brothels, including one in Surbiton.

Clothes, DVDs and bags were stolen from the house he used to share with girlfriend Nikki Chen, who was also convicted of running brothels but has since been released.

Dalton, 45, was imprisoned in August, 2010, after his defence that he was a police informant trying to help prostitutes was rejected by a jury. He is due to be released sometime in April after serving time since his arrest.

Andrew Thompson, 18, of Guildford Road, Fetcham, admitted burgling the house when he appeared at South East Surrey Magistrates’ Court in Redhill on Wednesday, March 30.

He is expected to be sentenced on April 6 after a pre-sentence report has been completed by the probation service.

A second defendant, Luke Sargeant-Fisher, 19, of Ryebrook Road, Leatherhead, will appear at the same court on April 15 to face a charge of burglary.
