Thieves cut through wire fencing to steal £180,000 worth of expensive mechanical equipment from outside a commercial storage facility next to the A3.

Both times vans parked inside the car park at Big Yellow Self Storage in Hook Rise South, Tolworth, were targeted.

High value mechanical equipment and diagnostic tools with the brand name 'Snap On' were stolen on October 25 and again on December 10.

The thieves were seen to drive towards the A3 in a white transit style van.

No-one from Big Yellow Self Storage was available to comment when contacted today.
