Big-hearted insurance brokers from New Malden will swap running a business for running a half marathon, in a fundraising effort for cancer research next month.
Staff from New Malden insurance company Towergate Patricks are aiming to raise £50,000 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, on Sunday, October 10.
The team of seven will be embarking on the 13.1m challenge across the eight Royal parks, including Hyde Park, Bushy Park, Richmond Park and Kensington Gardens, to raise £50,000 for Cancer Research UK and other good causes supported by the Towergate foundation.
Staff member Michael Wood said: “We have assembled a strong team which demonstrates the spirit of team work which exists within Towergate.
“What’s more, everybody is totally committed to raising as much money as they can.”
Anybody wishing to support the Towergate team can make a donation by going to justgiving.com/towergate-royalparks.
