Play rangers scheme bringing free fun to Weybridge

Elmbridge Council’s community play rangers scheme for children will now also take place at Churchfields Recreation Ground in Churchfield Road, Weybridge.

The free sessions for children over eight, which already take place at five other venues in Elmbridge, will be held every Tuesday, from 3.30pm to 6pm.

After school activities at the recreation ground include football and arts and crafts and there is no need to sign up.

Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure and cultural services at the council, said: “We are very pleased to make this valuable service available to children and young people in Weybridge.

“The play rangers give local youngsters fantastic opportunities to play outside in the fresh air in the green spaces at their doorstep.”
