Police in Surrey are looking to the public for any information to help them catch the Surrey Canary Thief.
A building in Woking was broken into between 6.30pm on March 26 and 7.30am on March 27.
44 yellow canaries were stolen and a number of others were killed on injured meaning they had to be put down.
Surrey Police are now looking for anyone across Surrey who may have been offered any yellow song canaries to come forward.
One example been given is that someone may have seen a small yellow birds suddenly appearing in your local pet shop.
