A burst water main and a second burst pipe is causing chaos in Kingston town centre.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they have helped close at least one road in Kingston.
A spokesman for Thames Water said: “We’re aware of a burst on Portsmouth Road, KT1.
"We had a team of engineers on site within two hours, and they’re now investigating before digging down to repair the pipe.
"No residents have lost supply due to the burst, but we’ve had to close the road for safety reasons and we’re sorry for any disruption caused.”
There are two bursts – one on a 12 inch diameter pipe main and one on a four inch diameter pipe.
Thames Water said they are not yet sure how long the repair will take as we have not yet dug down and inspected the pipes.
The burst was first reported at 8.20am, and the repair team was on site at around 10am.
