The Bell in East Molesey has been named Kingston and Leatherhead CAMRA’s winter pub of the season.
Owned by Greene King, the 500-year-old boozer is tucked away from the main road and right opposite the church in Bell Road.
Manager Emily Balyova received the award from the CAMRA branch, who voted for it as the best, improved pub in the area.
She said: “I think it’s down to hard work and fantastic support from the public. It’s mainly thanks to our customers.
“I’ve been here for a year and three months and we have just seen the quality and the clientele improve – we’re selling a lot more ale now.”
Work will soon begin on improving the large beer garden at the back of the pub, which Ms Balyova hopes will be ready for summer.
