Emergency services have been working together on a large-scale search since the early hours of the morning at Hampton Court after two men went into the Thames.
One is still missing, while the other was pulled out of the river.
Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboat crews from Teddington, Surrey Fire and Rescue, Kingston police, the Metropolitan Police’s Marine Policing Unit, London Ambulance and the National Police Air Service were all involved in the search.

The incident was reported at 4.20am.
Despite the huge search, authorities have so far been unable to locate the missing person.
The RNLI, which has thanked all those “who came out at 4.30am with torches to help”, said the Thames was “fast flowing” at high tide at the time.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “We are currently in attendance by the River Thames in Hampton Court Way following reports of a concern for safety earlier this morning (January 5).
“Two men were seen entering the river around 4.20am.
“One of the men has been pulled out of the river and did not require medical attention.
“A search remains ongoing for the second man.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any other information, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference number PR/P18003211.”
