A BMW driver who hid cannabis between his buttocks has been arrested in Cobham by Surrey Police’s Roads Policing Unit.

The 24-year-old from Chatham in Kent was driving on the A3 when he was stopped at about 3.30pm on Sunday, October 29.

He tested positive for cannabis and when he was searched in custody officers found a quantity of the drug hidden between his buttocks. Officers also found £1,000 in cash hidden behind some trim under the steering wheel.

PC Dan Pascoe said: “Finding and arresting a driver in possession of drugs and cash as well as testing positive for cannabis demonstrates the need for effective policing of the roads.”

The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis in Kent, for which he has been released on bail.

He was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving, as well as possession of cannabis, for which he has been released under investigation.
