Police are appealing for help from the public following a sexual assault on a young girl in Sunbury last week.

A teenage girl was travelling on the 235 bus from Hounslow bus station to Sunbury around 4.30pm on Thursday, October 19, when a man sat next to her and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The girl moved away from the man and got off the bus.

The man has been described as white, wearing dark clothes, wearing a hood to cover his face. He was carrying a black rucksack.

He got off the bus at the Kings Road Avenue stop on Vicarage Road, Sunbury.

DC Ceri Roberts, from the Safeguarding Investigation Unit said: “This was a terrifying experience for the victim who acted extremely brave and reported it to us straight away.

“We are investigating the incident and now we need the public’s help to identify this man as soon as possible.

“Were you travelling on the 235 bus from Hounslow to Sunbury last Thursday?

“Did you see a man acting suspiciously matching the description? If you have any information that could assist us then please get in touch.”
