Film lovers in Kingston can rejoice as a new ‘boutique’ cinema is on the way to the town centre.
The council has approved a planning application by the Bentall Centre to build a four screen ‘boutique’ cinema on the second and third floor of the shopping centre.
A glazed rooftop terrace also got the go-ahead, providing visitors the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view over Kingston.

Cllr Kevin Davis, leader of Kingston Council, said it will add “another dimension to the already thriving cultural offer” in the town centre.
Centre Manager at the Bentall Centre Sam Eastwood said: “We are delighted to have secured planning for the cinema and look forward to working with all our partners to develop the project.”
The cinema is part of a project, Bentall 25, which was launched in celebration of the Centre’s 25th year to revitalise the mall.
Mr Eastwood said the emphasis was bringing in the “best in high street brands” and “enhanced leisure” facilities.
Along with the cinema, projects include new restaurants, stores, a child’s activity area and more.
The planning application was approved on September 6.
