Police want to speak to a man after Shepperton Cricket Club was burgled.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to the incident at the club Russell Road which happened in the morning of July.

Cricket Club officials were alerted by a burglar alarm just after 8am, and officers arrived shortly afterwards.

They found the rear fire door to the pavilion had been forced open and the till behind the bar had been ransacked.

CCTV footage showed a man in the area at the time who officers want to speak to in connection with the burglary.

The man is described as white, 5ft 10in, with brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a yellow high visibility vest. He was carrying a black rucksack.

PC Paul Thomas, who is investigating the crime, said: “I want to speak to anyone who may have seen a man meeting the description near to the cricket club between 7am and 9am on Monday morning, or may have seen someone or something suspicious in the area recently.

“I’d also ask anyone with a dashcam or helmet cam that was in Shepperton on Monday morning to check the footage and see if they recorded anyone matching this description.

“Finally, if you recognise this individual, please make contact either with us, or with Crimestoppers”.
