A man has died after a van caught fire on the A3 Tolworth Underpass on Saturday evening (July 8).
The fire completely destroyed the vehicle and a man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Next of kin have been informed but formal identification awaits.”

London Fire Brigade were called at 9.45pm and the fire was under control by 10.28pm.
Police, two fire engines and around 10 firefighters from New Malden and Kingston fire stations attended.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation.
