A broken down train is causing long delays and cancellations between Raynes Park and Effingham Junction.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

The disruption is expected to last until 11am.

A train lost power at Stoneleigh and cannot move. As a result of this the London bound line is blocked.

An engineer is currently in attendance and is investigating the problem.

Services are being diverted via Cobham & Stoke D'Aberdon and services running along this line will also be delayed due to congestion.

Passengers at stations between Effingham Junction and Motspur Park can travel to Guildford or Dorking and connect to other London bound services there.

Passengers may also use London Buses via any reasonable route in the area and Southern Railway services between Dorking and Clapham Junction.

Southern Railway are conveying passengers between Dorking and Clapham Junction in both directions until further notice.

Arrangements have been made for South West Trains rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
