Walton Farmers’ Market returns to The Heart Shopping Centre tomorrow, with a celebratory stall from a ‘curry sauce queen’.
Anila Vaghela is marking 25 years running Anila’s Authentic Sauces.
She sold her first jar in Weybridge in 1992, and has since served over two million products from her range of curry sauces, more than three million servings of chutney and pickles, and won numerous Great Taste Awards.
Anila’s products will be available at an exclusive price, and she will be running a competition to win a cookery class or a hamper of her products.
The market, held on the first Saturday of each month, is open from 9.30am to 2pm.
Mark Middleton, The Heart Shopping Centre manager, said: “We’re passionate about showcasing local businesses at the farmers’ markets and they don’t come much more local than Anila, as she lives in Walton-on-Thames! A visit to the market has become a staple of my Saturday each month and I’m looking forward to seeing our loyal customers on June 3, and hopefully welcoming some new faces too.”
