Ale fans will go hopping mad for the sixty different beers available at the 18th Kingston Beer and Cider Festival this week.

Many of the beers are made by breweries from south west London and Surrey.

Punters will also be able to enjoy some of the dozen ciders and perries on offer, as well as the hot and cold food being served.

The festival will be held at Kingston Workmen’s Club and Institute from Thursday to Saturday, and is run by Kingston & Leatherhead CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).

Branch chairman Richard Russell said: “Now in its 18th year, The Kingston Beer & Cider festival provides a great opportunity to sample a range of different beers, ciders and perries that people may not get to try in their local pub or club. It is organised and run by local CAMRA volunteers, who give up their own time to promote Real Ale and Real Cider to the public.”

Entry details are as follows:

Thursday: 5pm to 11pm, entry £3

Friday: 11am to 11pm, entry £2 to 4pm, then £3

Saturday: 11am to 9pm, or until the beer runs out, entry free
