Nearly 10 per cent of Londoners have driven whilst under the influence of drugs, according new research by Slater and Gordon.
In the UK overall, of drivers surveyed one in seven 26 to 30 year-olds admitted to drug driving.
Nearly one third of Londoners who have driven under the influence have done so in the last six months and 64 per cent of drug taking drivers had been using cannabis.
Of those who have used drugs and driven, nearly 40 per cent were between 26 and 35.
Road traffic defence lawyers Slater and Gordon commissioned a survey of over 2000 adults to understand driving attitudes ahead of the festive period when people will be tempted to drive during or after a night out.
Around half of the people (52 per cent) confessed they would not report their partner, family member (47 per cent) or friend (41 per cent) if they were drink and drug driving.
