A graphic designer has denied killing a man found dying on a train.
Rhys Stacey Parchment, 24, of New Barns Avenue, Mitcham, appeared at the Old Bailey today charged with manslaughter following the death of Warsame Warsame in hospital on March 4.
He is accused of killing Mr Warsame, of Norbiton, by punching him twice in the head during a fight on board a train travelling between Raynes Park and Wimbledon two days before.
Mr Warsame, who had pre-existing injuries from an assault in a Kingston nightclub years before, was found unconscious hours later on a different train travelling from Wimbledon to Raynes Park.
He died in hospital two days later despite emergency surgery.
Tests later revealed he died of an inoperable bleed on the brain.
Mr Stacey Parchment, who was granted bail, will appear at the Old Bailey for a trial on May 6 next year.
