A woman has been injured after a crash on the Tolworth Broadway this morning.

A red Range Rover hit the back of a black Citroen hatchback at about 10.50am.

It is believe the incident happened after two pedestrians tried to cross the road by the petrol station.

The woman was in pain lying on the pavement under a blanket with shop workers and bystanders helping her before an ambulance arrived to treat her.

Builders coned off part of a lane of the Broadway heading toward Tolworth Tower.

Firefighters spread sand on oil that leaked from the Range Rover, which had a dent in the front. The rear end of the Citroen was damageed and the rear windscreen shattered.

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance said they were called at 10.45am to the Broadway. They said they had treated a woman, believed to be in her 30s, for a head injury.
