Oceana nightclub invites residents to talk
Oceana bosses have agreed to meet with people opposed to the nightclub’s licence being reinstated.
Luminar Leisure, which owns the Clarence Street venue, will speak with residents ahead of the company’s appeal against its licence being revoked by Kingston Council.
The authority stripped Oceana of its licence last year, following the fatal stabbing of Jamie Sanderson inside the club on October 25.
It has remained open pending the appeal.
A Luminar spokeswoman said: "We have invited residents to a meeting in order to work together to address any concerns and to ensure the club continues to provide a safe and secure environment."
The invitation only meeting will take place at the Richard Mayo Centre in Eden Street at 7pm on Thursday.
