Woman and child hospitalised after Tolworth crash
A 10-year-old boy and a woman were hospitalised following a crash in Tolworth this morning.
The accident on the A3 Tolworth underpass happened at around 8.30am, involved three cars and caused long tailbacks on the south bound carriageway.
Initial police reports suggested no one had been injured.
But the London Ambulance Service has this afternoon confirmed two people were taken to Kingston Hospital with minor injuries.
An ambulance spokesman said: "We sent two ambulance crews and two single response cars to the scene.
"Our staff treated two patients, a ten-year-old boy and a women, both for neck pain, and they were taken to Kingston Hospital.”
