A stunning fashion show featuring Louise Redknapp and Russian model Katia Elizarova raised £35,000 for children’s charities.

The event – a fashion show weekender organised by Surrey community fundraising initiative Fashion for Good (FFG) – took place at Brooklands Hotel on Friday, November 9.

FFG founder Kat Vitou said: “The Surrey Fashion Weekender was a chance to shop in style and support local community and voluntary groups all at the same time.

“Along the way, we raised an incredible amount for local charities, including the Oasis centre in Cobham, which is in desperate need of funds. It is amazing what time, effort and community spirit can do.”

Mrs Redknapp hosted a catwalk show for 150 guests, in which eight top boutiques and brands showcased their new looks. This was followed by an auction, introduced by Ms Elizarova.

On Saturday, November 10, an all-day department store shop and pamper experience was set up, attracting a steady stream of shoppers.

Money raised will go to the Oasis childcare centre in Cobham, Harrison’s Fund – a charity that raises funds for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, children’s hospice Shooting Star Chase, and Cobham based youth group Say.
