Richmond and Kingston probation officers prepare for Movember
7:00am Thursday 1st November 2012 in Top stories By David Lindsell, Assistant Editor
A team of probation officers are among the hundreds of men who will take up the challenge of growing a moustache from scratch this month to raise money for charity.
A team of 11 from London Probation Trust Kingston and Richmond will let their top lips lapse during Movember to fundraise for the fight against testicular and prostate cancer.
The self-proclaimed Kingston Lip Warmers registered with movember.com and hope to raise more than £1,000 for the charity.
Robert Kedge, an administrator and captain of the Kingston Lip Warmers after he organised challenge, said: “After skipping a year I thought it was time to give it another go but wanted to make it bigger and better, so have cajoled a larger team of brave colleagues.”
The 11 fundraisers work at London Probation Trust’s Kingston and Richmond local delivery unit including six probation officers, three administrators, one housing advice worker and a victim liaison officer.
