A director of Lambeth Primary Care Trust (PCT) who championed disability issues died last month after a period of illness, aged 63.
Bob Wenlock became a non-executive director of the PCT in April 2002. As a disabled person himself, he had personal experience of GP and hospital services and drew upon this to champion the perspective of patients at all times.
"He brought a passion and integrity to his work, and was well known and liked by our staff. Above all, we will remember and always miss Bob as a good friend and colleague.”

In the 1960s he was a senior biochemist in Zambia and worked as an adviser on nutrition with the Department of Health from 1984 until 2001.
He also advised the Government on employment issues for disabled people and on disabled access to Government buildings. He supported the voluntary sector and had a strong interest in education matters.
PCT chairwoman Caroline Hewitt said: "Bob's commitment to public service, and the manner in which he undertook his many roles, serves as an example for us all.
"He brought a passion and integrity to his work, and was well known and liked by our staff. Above all, we will remember and always miss Bob as a good friend and colleague."
