We used to have a green man crossing there until the Council ripped it out in favour of a "Walk with the traffic" design which should be called "Dice with death".

It is very dangerous for pedestrians an seems like TFL keeps taking down more and more safety rails (what they term as "street furniture" that in their eyes "looks bad") and taking away green men crossings. They want us to walk more but then put us in more danger. And some buses (aka granny carriers) are sometimes very dicey when driving. I really hope this guy gets better and doesn't suffer long term problems. Get well soon!

I was on the bus and with the girl after the incident and the driver was not at fault, he was slowly coming into the bus stop when It happened. The young girl was hurt but was conscious when the paramedics took her.

This is clearly not the driver's fault. If people cross the road when the green man is not showing, then it is their fault for not looking properly and crossing at the wrong time. Having said that, I do wish them a speedy and full recovery.
