Older people at risk of falling can increase their mobility and balance at exercise classes.
The free Staying Steady classes are aimed at helping older people increase their confidence over an eight-week period.
They are run by NHS Sutton and Merton and taken by qualified instructors. A spokeswoman said numbers are kept small so people can get the individual help they need.
Dr Martyn Wake, joint medical director of NHS Sutton and Merton, said the new falls service team aimed to improve quality of life for older people by reducing preventable disability and premature death through falls.
He said: “This is a key strategic priority for the PCT.”
Tom Brake MP recommended older people who have had a fall should try out the new service.
