Croydon was bracing itself for another day of snow chaos tomorrow as more flurries threaten to descend upon the borough.
Several centimetres of snow are expected to hit the town from midday, with sleet forecast to begin in the evening and last through tomorrow night.
South west London is expected to suffer the heaviest snowfall in the capital, with the Met Office predicting five centimetres to have settled by the early afternoon.
Council gritting teams have been placed on standby to deal with snowfall from 7.30am onwards, and a decision on whether to treat high priority footpaths will be taken following further weather updates tomorrow.
