A mountain made of chocolate may well be every child’s fantasy, but it could become a reality for some of Kingston’s most needy children this Easter.
Staff from Co-operative Funeralcare, based in King’s Road, Kingston, are urging residents to donate Easter eggs to help them build a sugary Everest.
The chocolate mountain will then be disassembled and the foil-wrapped treats donated to the children’s ward of Kingston Hospital.
Jane Clark, manager of Co-operative Funeralcare, said: “There are many youngsters who may welcome a bit of extra cheer this Easter.
“As a business at the heart of the community, we want to do our bit by trying to put a smile on as many local youngsters’ faces as possible.”
Staff at the funeral home will accept Easter eggs until Thursday, April 1, and will share them out between the children following a presentation on Friday, April 2.
