Two Kingston students have been shortlisted for a top design award for their covers for George Orwell's Animal Farm.
Raemarie Lee and Daisy Moore, studying for an MA in Graphic Design and a BA in Illustration Animation respectively at Kingston University, are in the final ten of Penguin Random House's Student Design Award 2018 in the fiction category.
Ms Moore said the award is "easily accessible and a great opportunity", adding: "Through this process I have learnt about the importance of analysing a text to make a well-thought-out image and working from a brief.”
The category winner will be given a placement at the Penguin Random House design studios as well as £1,000.
Ms Lee said: “As someone who is relatively new to the design field, I am glad that the Student Design Award allowed me to take a chance with my ideas. I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted and I’d definitely recommend that everyone with a creative spark give it a shot.”
