The first headliner for this year's Jockey Club Live season at Sandown Park has been announced.

BRIT award winning singer/actor Plan B will play at the racecourse on July 25 in one of this his first summer shows in four years.

His sophomore album, The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, achieved quadruple-platinum status, selling over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone, and hit the number one album spot on release.

Plan B said: “Excited to announce I’m headlining Sandown Park Racecourse this summer. Looking forward to playing songs from the new album.”

He will be releasing his fourth album ‘Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose’ on April 14 via Atlantic Records.

Phil White, regional Director for Jockey Club Racecourses London said: “We are delighted to announce Plan B as our first confirmed artist performing at Sandown Park this summer.

“Racegoers will be able to enjoy an evening of racing followed by live music from the leading British star. His albums have been hugely popular, with multiple hits and he is sure to get the Sandown Park crowd in full swing.”

Club Live concerts at Sandown Park Racecourse last year hosted thousands fans of live music, with performances from artists including Olly Murs and Tom Jones.

Tickets will be on sale at 8am on Friday January 26 via thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a pre-sale available to customers at 8am on Wednesday January 24.

Tickets are priced £35 for adults, with limited child tickets available at £20.
