Bonfire night can be a scary time for our pets, with all the loud noises and bangs.
Here’s how to keep them happy this year.
The RSPCA has put together a guide to how to keep your pet safe and happy during the fireworks season, and it says:
Walk them during daylight hours to avoid times when fireworks are likely to be set off
- Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound of fireworks
- Put on some music or TV to mask the firework sounds
- Create a quiet space where your dog can feel in control
- Create some hiding places around your home
See the poster below for more information on how to keep your pet happy.
Firework laws mean that no fireworks should be let off between 11pm and 7am, so if this is the case near you you are perfectly in your right to say something.
