A signalling problem between Clapham Junction and Waterloo is causing major delays on South West Trains routes.
The delays, expected until 3pm, are affecting routes between London Waterloo and Bristol Temple Meads, Weymouth, Reading, Salisbury, Addlestone, Woking, Alton, Dorking, Portsmouth Harbour, Weybridge, Strawberry Hill, Hampton Court, and Windsor & Eton Riverside.
Trains may be delayed or revised.
The system which identifies the presence of trains on sections of track has failed.
As a result, trains will need to stop at a signal and seek verbal permission to continue.
You may be entitled to compensation so keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
