Ex-England and Harlequins rugby star Nick Easter showed off his home improvement skills as New Malden’s B&Q unveiled its new look store.
The famous retailer hosted a family fun say at one of its flagship stores in New Malden on Saturday, where the rugby star put his DIY skills to the test with residents.
He was on hand to meet, greet and sign autographs for fans throughout the day.
Nick Easter said: “I’m not sure that my DIY skills were able to compete with the store experts but it was be great to get some advice from them to make my own home improvement projects easier.”
The New Malden store has been revamped to offer customers a variety of new products and features, including a new paint desk, kitchens and bathrooms display and a new café with windows overlooking the south west London.
Lee Bayliss, unit manager at the store, said: “We’re now able to show off our new look to New Malden’s residents and inspire them to start a new home improvement project under the guidance of our expert advice
“The family fun day with Nick taking part in our DIY challenges was a great day for all of our customers and staff.”
