A woman in her 60s is fighting for life after she was hit by a bus in Surbiton this morning.

Police were called to the junction of Upper Brighton Road junction with Croylands Drive at 10.10am to reports of a collision between a bus and pedestrian.

Paramedics and an air ambulance attended.

The woman was taken to a west London hospital, where her condition is being described as life threatening.

Two passengers on the bus were also injured and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed on arrival and reopened at about 1.30pm.
