A seal with an eel in its mouth drew a large crowd on the weekend after it was spotted in the Thames under Richmond Bridge.
Richmond resident Nick Tsinonis spotted the creature at around 2.30pm on Sunday, on his way to Richmond Park to watch rutting deer.
Mr Tsinonis said: “[The seal] was struggling to eat [the eel], and had gathered quite a crowd on the bridge and the banks of the Thames.
“It disappeared after 30 minutes between boats so I am not sure what happened afterwards.
“Luckily I had my long lens with me.
“I thought there was a dog in the water with a fish but then quickly realised it was a seal with an eel.”
