Two cars and a bus have crashed off Portsmouth Road, near the Holiday Inn and Cooper BMW dealership on the Surbiton and Thames Ditton border.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were all called to the crash in Prospect Road.
Surrey Fire and Rescue said that firefighters from Esher were called shortly before 3pm.
Two people have been injured including an 80-year-old woman, who lost consciousness and suffered neck injuries, a spokesman said.
One witness said it had been a "head-on" crash.
South East Coast Ambulance Service said it took a woman with arm injuries to Kingston Hospital.
