Firefighter were fist called to Surbiton Hill Road at about 4.30pm
A Surbiton road was closed this evening after a car fire.
Firefighters were first called at about 4.30pm after a car carrying a woman and a child caught fire in Surbiton Hill Road.
One fire engine attended and the fire was quickly put out.
The road was closed for about 20 minutes and both the woman and the child left the car safely.
