Engineering work is causing major disruption to travellers in south London this weekend.

South West Train services running through Kingston, Surbiton, Clapham, Richmond, Wimbledon and Epsom will be affected by timetable changes and cancellations.

Platforms three to six at Clapham Junction station are closed. There is no service at all from Queenstown Road and bus replacement services are running between Barnes and Clapham Junction.

Trains between Waterloo and Reading are being diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at Wimbledon and Kingston.

Services to Guilford via Cobham will only run between Surbiton and Guildford and passengers wishing to stop at Elmbridge stations should change at Surbiton.

Chessington line services will only run between Wimbledon and Chessington and trains on the Kingston loop are subject timetable changes.

A revised service is also running on the Hounslow loop to and from Barnes via Twickenham and via Brentford.

On Sunday many train services will start earlier than normal but will make additional stops and follow alternative routes.

Trains to Hampton Court and Guildford via Epsom and Surbiton will all stop at additional stations meaning journeys will take longer than usual.

The engineering work is not expected to run into Monday morning.
