Friday, October 2: Scrapped: Plan for New Malden parking zones not supported by residents

The scheme was launched on Saturday, December 5 during Richmond and Kingston North MP Zac Goldsmith’s London campaign visit to New Malden as the Conservative candidate for mayor of London.

He was joined by Kingston Council leader Kevin Davis and Kingston and Surbiton MP James Berry.

The council planned to introduce controlled parking zones in New Malden in September, but scrapped the plans after a public consultation failed to receive a sufficient enough response.
