Two officers from Kingston police performed a spontaneous jig to celebrate Surbition's Christmas light switch on.
Sergeant Trudy Hutchinson and PC Scott Carpenter, complete with tinsel around their hats - insisted upon by Sgt Hutchinson, stood in front of the stage in Victoria Road and danced.
Sgt Hutchinson said she had persuaded PC Carpenter to join her as they finished policing the "brilliant community event", and plans to include lights as part of their festive unifiorms next year.
The switch on, hosted by the Surbiton Business Community included a street party and a visit from Father Christmas on Thursday, November 26.
