The accident involving a man riding his bike and a car happened in Portland Avenue at 5.45pm on Wednesday.
Nearby Malden Road was closed to traffic while the male cyclist was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

A Kingston Police spokesman said: “We are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, due to it being rush hour this would have been a very busy area with other vehicles and pedestrians stuck in traffic or driving past.”
