A man was cautioned by police after a two-year-old boy went missing in Cambridge Road, Kingston.
The 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of child neglect after police were called to the estate at 12.30pm yesterday.
The toddler was reunited with his mother after police began a door-knocking campaign around the estate.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of child neglect in relation to this incident and was taken to a west London police station.
“He was subsequently issued a police caution and released.”
