A glamorous great-grandmother has thanked her daughters for keeping her young, after celebrating her 102nd birthday last week.

Nancy Weston, who loves nothing more than playing bingo and being visited by the family, says she doesn’t feel a day over 60.

The mother-of-four, who has 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, said: "The secret of my good health is my daughters, they come and visit me every day and they are just wonderful.

"Roughly 50 friends and family came to my party and it was a really special day. It is a day I will never forget that's for sure."

Ms Weston, who lives in Kingsmead Avenue, Worcester Park, reached the milestone on Friday, January 16.

She held a party at her home the following day, with a singer and piano player on hand to provide the entertainment.

Barbara Zammit, one of Ms Weston's four daughters, said: "A couple of people got up to have a dance, we all enjoyed a bit of food, it was great fun it really was.

"My mum is a very happy person, very jolly, she likes to look nice and she is always colour co-ordinated.

"She loves playing a bit of bingo and loves seeing all the family."

Ms Weston, who used to work as a seamstress, said: "I am so grateful to everyone who came.

"I can’t believe I am 102-years-old, I honestly don’t feel a day over 60."
